The Midlands CBT Centre officially opened in January 2009. However it has been an integral part of the psychological services provided at Tranquil House Psychological Consultancy Centre since opening in 2000. Tranquil House is situated in the Lickey Hills on the borders of South Birmingham and Bromsgrove, just 1.5 miles from J1, M42 and J4, M5. It provides excellent consulting room facilities and includes disabled access and free 'off road' parking
The Midlands CBT Centre has evolved over recent years and now provides a range of independent sector CBT services to the community. These include:
- CBT assessment/treatment - Individual, Group and Corporate .
- Professional consulting facilities for the delivery of CBT services.
- Supervision for both qualified CBT therapists and those in training.
- Seminars/Workshops for professionals using CBT.
The Midlands CBT Centre therapists are 'accredited' and have full professional membership of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies. A number of them are also 'providers' for Health Insurance companies such as BUPA, PPP Axa, Norwich Union and Prudential.
